Who says bigger is always better? Try our kitchen herb garden.
People staying in urban areas do not have large spaces to grow their herbs. We help people utilize whatever little space they have available by creating planters which are suitable for growing herbs in kitchen and balconies.
Our growth stations equipped with drip irrigation, rich organic soil, seeds and saplings. The sizes can be customized so that they look aesthetically beautiful and you get to consume chemical free herbs and salads, right from basil, thyme, kale to lettuce. We provide an extensive variety of kitchen herb garden and help install planters to utilize space to its optimum level. Along with installation, we assist in designing, implementing and maintaining gardens.
Our team works with the best material available – proper waterproofing techniques, rich soil, good quality manure, organic nutrients and compost – to keep your garden and plants lush.
Herbs are defined as plants that are useful to humans. Not quite the same as a vegetable or a fruit, a herb is something we value for a variety of different reasons. A herb can be useful to us for its flavor, its scent, its medicinal properties or its use as an insecticide. Some herbs are used as coloring for dyes or for industrial uses. Herbs have been used for thousands of years in teas and balms to relieve physical ailments, such as upset stomachs and stress-induced illness.
A herb garden represents a dedicated space designed specifically for cultivating herbs. It serves as a serene and aesthetically pleasing environment where you can nurture plants that not only are practical and useful, but also enhances the overall quality of life. These gardens come in various sizes and shapes, accommodating a diverse array of herbs, ranging from a comprehensive collection to a select few. They can occupy expansive outdoor yards or be condensed into compact window boxes. Whether placed indoors under sunlight or outdoors in the fresh air, herb gardens offer flexibility in their location. Furthermore, they can be seamlessly integrated into vegetable gardens, complementing landscape features, or mingling harmoniously with flowers to create a cohesive design
Not just for your eyes only!
There are different types of herb gardens, and so does their uses. Each type brings its own character to life and variety of use.
Kitchen Herb Garden: A Kitchen Herb Garden (also called a Culinary Herb Garden) consists of herbs used only as flavors while cooking, like parsley, basil, chives, oregano, thyme, rosemary, mint. Coriander, etc. Most of these are grown in containers, though they can also be grown in a garden, nearest to the kitchen.
Fragrant Herb Garden: An aromatic (or fragrant) herb garden consists of herbs that are highly noted for their fragrance and used for cut flowers, aromatherapy, scented candles, or potpourri. Some examples include lavender, lemon grass, and scented geraniums.
Herbal Tea Garden: A herbal tea garden consists of herbs most commonly used to add aroma to tea, although most of them also have health benefits. Some examples are chamomile, anise, hyssop, and assorted mints that are brewed with tea leaves.
Medicinal Herb Garden: A medicinal herb garden consists of plants which are used for soothing and comfort. Although, you should be cautious on using herbs for medicinal purposes because while, some herbs are helpful, many could be potentially harmful if ingested or used incorrectly, inappropriately, or used improperly. It is recommended to check with a doctor before trying herbal remedies.
Ornamental Herb Garden: Ornamental herb gardens are popular for their beautiful flowers and atypical foliage. An ornamental herb garden might contain southernwood, sage, and germander.
These are highly aromatic herbs like oregano, rosemary, peppermint, etc. that are dried and stored for later use and shelf-life. Freshly picked herbs are placed in a paper (you can use packing or crepe paper) and left to naturally dry in a warm place. Some herbs can also be hung-dried like lavender, from the ceiling in small bouquets. Do not store them until bonedry, that may take anywhere between 10 to 15 days depending upon the environment, and the herb. Some herbs need to be frozen, else they lose their flavour when dried. Such herbs have a light, fleeting character or pungent flavours such as basil, parsley, coriander, chives, or dill. Simply chop them fresh and store them in a resealable freezer bag or container in your freezer.
Our regular potted plants maintenance visits include soil ph and moisture testing, cultivating, weeding, pruning, treating of pests and diseases, fertilizing and mulching. Tree pruning, new planting and garden upgrades are also available if required.
We will take your plant back to our "Rehab center" where we will give it supervised care and treatment for a maximum of 30 days. Following rehab service, should your plant still be unwell, we may offer to extend the service, at an additional materials cost.
(ALL plants under our personal care are not guaranteed to revive or rehabilitate. Knowing this, selecting this service, you accept and agree 100% to the potential risk losing your plant while released of your care. The Plant Care Professional is free from all liability.)
